Lamb with Bone Mineralizing Stew

Crockpot: Low setting, overnight (6 hrs)

Ingredients:

1 pound lamb shoulder or shank sawed crosswise into pieces by butcher (to expose bone)
1 onion, moon sliced
5 turnips (small) moon sliced 1/4 inch thick
1 small parsnip, grated
1/4 c coarsely chopped parsley
10 juniper berries
sprinkle of dry rosemary

6 cups water
1 cup wine or 1/2 cup cider vinegar (to draw minerals out of bone)
(if you cannot tolerate wine: use 1/4 cup wine or apple cider vinegar)

Directions:

Salt wash lamb quickly, and rinse under running water.

Place all of the ingredients into crockpot: Add liquids. Turn setting to low and cook overnight for 6 hours or simmer 2 hours, slowly on the stove.

Energetics:

This soup provides minerals from the lamb bone and makes them available to the body. The Lungs and Kidneys are also aided, as well as the Stomach and Spleen, Liver and increases blood and chi circulation.
